Dear Friends,
It gives me immense pleasure to pen the foreword of AIOS times. This is an initiate by AIOS, to keep the members 
updated with latest developments in the field of Ophthalmology. This booklet helps the members to scan through quickly and learn about areas of new frontiers. In this issue Technological advances in Cataract Surgery are very well covered by Dr. Priya Narang and newer imaging modalities in Retina by Drs. Chaitra Jayadev and Jay Chhablani. Each of these chapters has appropriately mentioned the references for members to further dwell on the specific developments in each area. Newer Surgical Techniques in Oculoplastics and aesthetics by Dr. Maya hada is an useful addition to this issue. Changes likely to happen in next ten years in each specialty, this issue covers strabismus by Dr. Meenakshi Swaminathan and Jitendra Jethani, Pediatric Ophthalmology by Dr. Rohit Saxena, Cornea by Dr. Aditya Pradhan, Oculoplasty by Dr. Apjit Kaur. This section on what is likely in next 10 years will make us understand in which direction the advances are likely to happen. The news letter will help each member for quick scan regarding developments in the field of interest, however members shall explore further in their areas of interest. This gives a platform for the members to come up with their innovations and contribute to the each of the sections of individual interest in the news letter. Areas like practice management and Soft skill developments and applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be explored and written as contributions. It also warrants the valuable suggestions of the members to make the News letter more informative and interesting. I can certainly vouch that, this initiate gives each member a chance to take some time and quickly glance and learn about the new frontiers. I want to Congratulate Hon. Secretary Dr. Namrata Sharma and Treasurer Dr. Rajesh Sinha for the tremendous efforts and innovation initiative for the society members. I shall also appreciate the efforts of Managing Editor Dr. Digvijay Singh in bringing out AIOS News Latter.
